We believe clear, effective, two-way communication between home and school is a great way to support your child's learning in their early school years. You are welcome to come and talk to your class teacher in their classroom any morning from 8.40am. If you think you will need more than a few minutes, please ask to arrange an after-school appointment at a mutually appropriate time.
Every child has a Home-School record book which you are encouraged to use when reading with your child, completing homework tasks or learning spellings.
We send a newsletter home at the end of each week, packed with details about what we have been up to in our schools, important notices for parent(s) and carer(s) and dates to enable you to plan for events coming up. We try and group all our paper information so it goes home on the same day, but please check book bags each night to be sure you don't miss anything.
We also use the Teachers2Parents text service and emails to get urgent or important messages directly to your child's main carer.
Copies of other letters home are usually on the classroom noticeboards - or please ask if you think you need another copy.
At the start of each school year, parent(s) and carer(s) receive a reminder of their obligations under our Home-School Agreement and are asked to confirm their Parental Permissions.
Parent(s) and carer(s) who are entitled to receive income-related benefits are encouraged to apply for Free School Meals. This ensures the schools receive its full quota of Pupil Premium Grant from the Government.
